Welcome to the volunteer space of Intertek 4-Front.

We are always looking for new volunteers to help out with our product tests - we need people who:

- live in or near Ellesmere Port, Widnes, Manchester or Maldon.

- are available to come to our study sites

- are reasonably healthy

When you come to see us for a product test, visits can be as quick as 10 minutes but usually last a bit longer.

Visits tend to last from around half an hour to an hour - longer and more complicated visits will mean you will get a higher reward payment.

What we do:

We carry out tests using human volunteers on cosmetic and dermatological products as well as some medical products. All our tests are carried out on behalf of major international companies who need help to test their products. The tests are designed to see if the products work as they should and are safe when used by ordinary people as part of their daily life.

We test products like moisturising creams, whitening toothpastes, deodorants, shampoos, electric toothbrushes, household detergents and more.

We follow internationally agreed guidelines on Good Clinical Practice, which were created to govern product tests and all our studies are reviewed and approved by an Independent Ethics Committee.

Our parent company, Intertek, is a very large company dedicated to testing and improving all manner of products and services, from testing the safety of toys and electrical goods to the quality of clothes or petrol and the purity of chemicals and medicines. Intertek is active in more than 100 countries around the world and employs over 23,000 people.
